star­ting on March 1, 2023. The posi­tion is limi­ted until Febru­ary 28, 2025. The period of employ­ment is gover­ned by the Fixed Term Rese­arch Con­tracts Act (Wis­sen­schafts­zeit­ver­trags­ge­setz-WissZeitVG).

Working field:

The can­di­date will be in charge of deve­lo­ping a novel genera­tion of com­pu­ting archi­tec­tures based on ion com­pu­ting. Deve­lop­ment of novel swit­cha­ble ultra­ca­pa­ci­tors and micro­super­ca­pa­ci­tors for ion­tro­nic app­li­ca­ti­ons, syn­the­sis of porous car­bon mate­ri­als and porous mem­bra­nes, deve­lop­ment and adap­tion of new elec­tro­lyte for­mu­la­ti­ons, elec­tro­che­mi­cal cha­rac­te­ri­za­tion, impe­dance spec­tro­scopy, cyclic volt­am­me­try, orga­ni­za­tion and sci­en­ti­fic inst­ruc­tion of a small team of PhD and mas­ter stu­dents, sci­en­ti­fic publi­shing, data manage­ment.


very good uni­ver­sity and PhD degree in che­mi­stry or mate­ri­als sci­ence, expe­ri­ence in the field of elec­tro­che­mi­stry in par­ti­cu­lar ultra­ca­pa­ci­tors, cyclo­volt­am­me­try, impe­dance spec­tro­scopy; broad know­ledge of mate­ri­als cha­rac­te­ri­za­tion methods in par­ti­cu­lar as rele­vant for porous mate­ri­als; able to work in an inter­na­tio­nal team; able to guide a team; high self-moti­va­tion; good com­mand of writ­ten and spo­ken Eng­lish; good PC skills; capa­city for team­work and orga­ni­za­tio­nal talent.
