At the Faculty of Psychology, Institute of Educational and Developmental Psychology, the Chair of Lifespan Developmental Neuroscience offers for the Centre for Tactile Internet with Human-in-the-Loop (CeTI) a position as
Research Associate (m/f/x)
for Research room F1- Human Sensory Perception and Action
(subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)
starting as soon as possible. The position is limited for three years. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG). The position offers the chance to obtain further academic qualification (usually PhD / habilitation thesis).

Tasks:

— conducting research on psychophysical and neural mechanisms of multisensory perception and action
— supporting assistants and students on a project-related basis
— conduction data analyses from empirical studies
— preparing manuscripts for publications of research results
— active collaborations with researchers from other research rooms in CeTI

Requirements:

— university degree (diploma/master) and, if applicable, a PhD degree in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, cognitive science, or related fields
— experiences in conducting experiments in perception and using EEG or fNIRs methodologies
— ability and willingness to work independently, conceptually and scientifically in a team
— proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written
