Tech­ni­sche Uni­ver­si­tät Dres­den (TUD), as a Uni­ver­sity of Excel­lence, is one of the lea­ding and most dyna­mic rese­arch insti­tu­ti­ons in the coun­try. At the Faculty of Che­mi­stry and Food Che­mi­stry, the Chair of Inor­ga­nic Che­mi­stry I offers, sub­ject to resour­ces being avail­able, a posi­tion as
Rese­arch Asso­ciate / PhD Stu­dent (m/f/x)
(sub­ject to per­so­nal qua­li­fi­ca­tion employees are remu­ne­ra­ted accord­ing to salary group E 13 TV-L)
star­ting on March 1, 2023. The posi­tion com­pri­ses 50 % of the full­time wee­kly hours. The posi­tion is limi­ted until Febru­ary 28, 2026. The period of employ­ment is gover­ned by the Fixed Term Rese­arch Con­tracts Act (Wis­sen­schafts­zeit­ver­trags­ge­setz-WissZeitVG). The posi­tion offers the chance to obtain fur­ther aca­de­mic qua­li­fi­ca­tion (e. g. PhD).

Working field:

The can­di­date will work in a highly dyna­mic and inter­na­tio­nal team of sci­en­tists deve­lo­ping a novel genera­tion of com­pu­ting archi­tec­tures based on ion com­pu­ting inclu­ding bio­lo­gi­cally active ions. Deve­lop­ment of novel tech­ni­ques for the prin­ting of porous mate­ri­als for the pro­duc­tion of swit­cha­ble ultra­ca­pa­ci­tors and micro­super­ca­pa­ci­tors for ion­tro­nic app­li­ca­ti­ons, elec­tro­che­mi­cal cha­rac­te­ri­za­tion, impe­dance spec­tro­scopy, cyclic volt­am­me­try, mate­ri­als cha­rac­te­ri­za­tion, pre­sen­ta­tion of own rese­arch results in inter­na­tio­nal con­fe­ren­ces, sci­en­ti­fic publi­shing, data manage­ment.

Requirements:

very good uni­ver­sity degree (mas­ter or diploma) in che­mi­stry; high self-moti­va­tion; good com­mand of writ­ten and spo­ken Eng­lish; the wil­ling­ness to learn elec­tro­che­mi­cal cha­rac­te­ri­za­tion methods is requi­red; good PC skills; capa­city for team­work and orga­ni­za­tio­nal talent.
