(subject to personal qualification, employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)

is to be filled at the earliest possible date until October 31, 2026 (time limitation pursuant to TzBfG). The position comprises 50% of the full-time weekly hours.

As part of TUD's Excellence Strategy, we strive to intensify Internationalization@home.
The internationalization of our campus is an essential part of this. As an Advisor for Internationalization@home, you will seek to strengthen our university's welcoming culture and to optimize the onboarding phase as well as opportunities for international researchers to participate and integrate. You will work out strategic internationalization measures and develop them further, identify gaps in this area of activity and initiate the expansion and ongoing development of suitable services. You will carry out these tasks on the basis of a systematic analysis and evaluation of existing structures and a benchmarking with other universities, taking into account the internationalization objectives.
Other key areas of responsibility include Responsible Internationalization and Internationalization in Higher Education for Society (IHES). The key issues in this area include academic freedom and academic diplomacy in the context of international cooperation as well as the implementation of measures for researchers in need.
As an Advisor, you will have the task of (further) working out or developing strategies and TUD's own concept on these topics, taking into account existing strategies and activities. You will be responsible for defining the strategic priorities within these topics. You will need to coordinate closely with the responsible committees and cooperate with the relevant stakeholders. Your tasks will also include networking with and involving stakeholders from the city, the region and international partner organizations.
As part of the Team Strategy and Internationalization, you will also contribute to the implementation of the university-wide internationalization strategy, such as by researching and compiling relevant data and information and preparing them in presentations for various target groups. You will provide expert advice and prepare decision-making processes, accompanying them through to completion.

Requirements:

  • university degree
  • relevant professional experience in science and/or project management
  • very good knowledge of higher education policy in Saxony and at national and international level
  • knowledge of funding programs for the internationalization of universities
  • very good analytical, rhetorical, academically trained knowledge and skills
  • very good knowledge of the organizational structure of academic institutions and own experience in academic self-administration
  • comprehensive and sound knowledge of university and administrative law, including its current developments, in particular HRG, SächsHSFG, TUD statutes, especially its Fundamental Principles
  • proficient command of the German language (C1)
  • intercultural skills and experience abroad
