Research Associate / Postdoc (m/f/x)

At the Faculty of Mathematics, the Chair of Nonlinear Analysis offers a position as

Research Associate / Postdoc (m/f/x)
(subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)

starting April 1, 2025. The position is limited until September 30, 2027. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG). The position aims at obtaining further academic qualification. Balancing family and career is an important issue. The position is generally suitable for candidates seeking part-time employment. Please indicate the request in your application.

Working field:

  • research on a topic in nonlinear analysis, in particular in partial differential equations, calculus of variations and its applications
  • support of the chair in teaching the Bachelor's and Master's courses offered (teaching duties in accordance with the Regulations on Duties and Responsibilities of Institutes of Higher Education –HSDAVO)
  • participation in administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • very good university and PhD degree in mathematics;
  • professional attitude to work at the Chair (esp. profound knowledge in partial differential equations, functional analysis, calculus of variations and measure theory);
  • good written and spoken English;
  • basic written and spoken German (sufficient for teaching)
