At the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science, the Institute of Catholic Theology invites applications for the
Chair (W3) of Systematic Theology (Catholic)
to be filled at the earliest possible date.

Working field:

You (m/f/x) will represent the field of Systematic Theology (Catholic) in research and teaching and be responsible for teaching courses in the teachers training degree programs in Catholic religion at elementary and secondary schools, high schools, and vocational schools, as well as in the subject Catholic Theology in the Bachelor's degree program in Humanities, Cultural and Social Sciences. We would like you to be willing and able to teach courses in English. We assume your willingness to engage in the academic self-administration.

Requirements:

We are looking for a personality whose research is compatible with the research priorities of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and beyond that with the research context of TUD. We expect expertise in the research areas of Systematic Theology (fundamental theology, dogmatics) and your willingness to engage in ecumenical and interdisciplinary cooperation. We also expect you to be able to develop Christian theology in a pluralistic, interreligious and secular context, well-informed in social sciences, humanities and cultural studies in view of the current global and social challenges. The requirements for appointment, the official duties and the administrative status are governed by §§ 59, 69, 71 of the Act on Higher Education Institutions in the Free State of Saxony (SächsHSG) and the Regulations on Duties and Responsibilities of Institutes of Higher Education (HSDAVO).
