TUD Dresden University of Technology, as a University of Excellence, is one of the leading and most dy-namic research institutions in the country.
The Chair of Dynamics and Mechanism Design focuses on teaching and research in the fields of machine dynamics, system dynamics and structural dynamics, mechanism and vibration technology, mechanical and acoustic measurement technology as well as mechatronics and robotics.
For TUD diversity is an essential feature and a quality criterion of an excellent university. Accordingly, we welcome all applicants who would like to commit themselves, their achievements and productivity to the success of the whole institution.
At the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering, Institute of Solid Mechanics, the Chair of Dynamics and Mechanism Design offers a position as
Research Associate (m/f/x)
(subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)

The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz – WissZeitVG). The position offers the chance to obtain further academic qualification (usually PhD).
To work on a research project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) in the field of textile technology. The highly dynamic warp knitting process is to be better researched; one contribution to this is the analysis and modeling of short-term dynamic manufacturing processes.
The particular challenge is the localization and compensation of the varying yarn tensile forces, which are caused by edge and hysteresis effects, spatial yarn vibrations and resonance peaks of the yarn guide elements.
Objectives:
TUD strives to employ more women in academia and research. We therefore expressly encourage women to apply. The University is a certified family-friendly university and offers a Dual Career Service.
