Chair (W3) of Work and Organizational Psychology

At the Faculty of Psychology, the Institute of Work, Organizational and Social Psychology invites applications for the
Chair (W3) of Work and Organizational Psychology
to be filled as of October 1, 2026.

Working field:

We are looking for a scientifically outstanding personality (m/f/x) with international visibility in the field of work and organizational psychology. You will fully represent the field of work and organizational psychology in research and teaching. Research specializations in one or more of the following areas are considered as an advantage: digitalization and artificial intelligence in the work context, action regulation in the work context and aspects of ecological sustainability. Your research profile should be compatible with the main research areas of the Faculty of Psychology and other TUD faculties. Participation in joint research initiatives, e.g., research training groups, as well as a willingness to cooperate interdisciplinarily within the framework of TUD's Excellence Strategy are explicitly desired.

Requirements:

We expect extensive teaching experience in the field of work and organizational psychology and exceptional didactic skills. Your ability and willingness to teach courses in English is required. Knowledge of the German language is desirable but not a requirement, however, the successful candidate is expected to acquire sufficient language skills in German within two years of appointment to perform teaching and administrative duties. International visibility through publications and successful acquisition of competitive third-party funded projects is also required. The Faculty of Psychology values transparent and replicable research and explicitly supports all measures that can contribute to this (e.g., preregistration, open data, materials). Experience with academic self-administration and science communication is advantageous. The requirements for appointment, the official duties and the administrative status are governed by §§ 59, 69, 71 of the Institutions of Higher Education Act in the Free State of Saxony (SächsHSG) and Regulations on Duties and Responsibilities of Institutes of Higher Education (HSDAVO).
