At the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Department of Hydro Sciences, Institute of Hydrobiology, the Chair of Limnology offers a project position as
Scientist or doctoral candidate (m/f/x)
(subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)
starting June 16, 2025. The position is limitedto March 31, 2028 with 100% or 60% of the full-time weekly hours. The period of employment is governed by § 2 (2) Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz – WissZeitVG). Research activities in the field of aquatic ecology, research focus in the field of fish ecology or application of molecular tools in ecological research.
scientific university degree (Diploma or Master) in biology, geography or related sciences; very good English and PC skills; independent and flexible way of working; confident in dealing with public institutions and practice partners; ability to work in a team; experience in qualitative and/or quantitative research (knowledge of R). A good basic knowledge of database management and knowledge of R are desirable. In addition, basic knowledge of limnology and model-based limnology is an advantage. A willingness to network scientifically is desirable. Active participation in national and international conferences is desirable. Proof of academic performance e.g. through degree or diploma, theses and seminar papers and/or publications in the field of ecology would be an advantage.
