The new Cluster of Excellence “Responsible Electronics in the Climate Change Era – REC2” offers a full-time position as
Communication Manager (m/f/x)
(subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 11 TV-L)
starting January 1, 2026. The position is limited until December 31, 2032 (time limitation pursuant to TzBfG).
The new REC² Cluster of Excellence is seeking an experienced individual with in-depth knowledge of science communication who can contribute vision and commitment to shaping the cluster's internal and external communications, including marketing, public relations and knowledge transfer. In this key role, you will have a significant impact on REC²'s public image and address a wide range of target groups.
— support in the further development of the cluster's communication strategy
— conception and implementation of social media formats
— research topics relevant to the target group and implementation in communication measures
— press and public relations work, including the creation of news articles and newsletters
— creation of design templates, especially for social media, as well as photo and video content
— editorial maintenance of the website
— conceptual development and organization of event formats to raise awareness of the cluster's topics among researchers, companies and the general public
— documentation and monitoring of communication issues
— Bachelor degree in communication sciences, media or communication design, marketing or a similar relevant field
— affinity for media and confident use of social media (especially Instagram and LinkedIn)
— knowledge of content management systems (especially WordPress)
— experience in video and image editing (Adobe Creative Cloud or similar)
— independent working style, technical understanding; creative, open and communicative nature
— very good written and oral communication skills in German and English
— strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
— knowledge of the structures and processes at a university is desirable
