The Group Electron beam analytics is looking for an Assistant (f/m/d) Technical employee for in-situ analysis systems (XRF and LIBS).

Assistant (f/m/d) Technical employee for in-situ analysis systems (XRF and LIBS)

English

Working field:

  • Planning and conducting in-situ measurements using XRF and LIBS
  • Sample preparation
  • Basic evaluation of the measurement data
  • Calibration of the analytical equipment
  • Implementation and documentation of QA-QM measures

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed apprenticeship as Chemical laboratory assistant, Physics lab assistant (f/m/d), or
  • Completed university studies (Bachelor) in the field of Analytical chemistry, Earth Sciences, Natural sciences in general or related field
  • Knowledge of the calibration of various chemical-analytical measuring instruments (preferably LIBS & XRF methods)
  • Experience in handling various solid sample materials such as powders, particles, soil samples or dried plant material is desirable
  • Experience in handling RFA and/or LIBS devices is an advantage but not essential
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • The willingness to carry out the analyses during measurement campaigns in Central Europe is assumed
  • Knowledge of common Office applications
  • Knowledge of basic statistical analysis software is an advantage but not essential
  • Basic knowledge of written and spoken English, German language skills are an advantage
