The DRESDEN-concept Genome Center (DcGC) is a scientific service facility that provides state-of-the-art infrastructure and expertise in the field of genome research. Its service portfolio covers a broad range of classical and advanced applications in next-generation sequencing (NGS), including bioinformatics analyses and spatially resolved genome analysis in tissue sections. As one of four DFG-funded NGS Competence Centers in Germany, the DcGC plays a key role in the national genomics research landscape. Initiated by TUD Dresden University of Technology and the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG), the center is now jointly supported by additional partner institutions within the DRESDEN-concept research alliance. The strategic direction and management of the DcGC are jointly overseen by the DcGC Steering Board – comprising representatives of the supporting institutions – and the center’s leadership. Together, they ensure the facility’s effectiveness, innovative capacity, and scientific excellence. For this key leadership position, we are seeking a dedicated individual with scientific depth, strategic vision, and strong leadership skills. For TUD diversity is an essential feature and a quality criterion of an excellent university. Accordingly, we welcome all applicants who would like to commit themselves, their achievements and productivity to the success of the whole institution.
