The aim of the project is to design, fabricate, test and optimize magnetic actuation systems that are used to actuate small-scale robots for surgical applications. The project is funded by the European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant VIBEBOT, for the initial period of three months.
Specific tasks for the Master student include:
A master student in Engineering, Material science, Physics or relevant subjects is required. Interest or experience in system design, molding processes, and wireless actuation is preferred. The successful candidate should be self-motivated, possess excellent English skills, be open to discussing new ideas in an interdisciplinary team, and be flexible in applying various experimental methods. The project can be further extended to a student research project or a Master’s thesis.
