Das Leibniz-Institut für Festkörper- und Werkstoffforschung Dresden e. V. Student Assistant (m/f/d)

There are open positions available to be filled as soon as possible for a student assistant at SAWLab Saxony1 as part of the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research - IFW.

Aufgabenbeschreibung:

At SAWLab Saxony, we developed a novel lab-on-a-chip platform to control the movement of particles and biological cells which is necessary for a broad range of applications ranging from chemistry and biology to industry. Lab-on-a-chip is a revolutionary concept that replicate the entire laboratory set on a small chip. Here we focus on particles within micron and nanoscale ranges that are suspended in a liquid medium, placed in tiny channels and we move them with a high frequency sound.

Erwartete Qualifikationen:

You study in the field of materials science, process engineering, microsystems technology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, microfluidics or similar. Previous experience in microfluidics, micro-fabrication techniques, or 2D/3D CAD are advantageous but not required.
