Tasks:

  • Design, Test, Training, Evaluation/Benchmarking and Use
    • of computer vision-based AI systems
    • of tabular-data based AI systems
  • Presentation and Communication of Results at international conferences and in peer-reviewed journals
  • Developing Methods for Explaining AI-Based Predictions

Requirements:

  • Completed university studies (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) in Computer Sciences, in the field of Natural Sciences, or related fields
  • Experience and knowledge
    • in supervised learning computer vision architectures (Unet, StarDist, Cellpose, CPN, nnUnet, SAM, Dino, Yolo)
    • in machine learning benchmarking and evaluation metrics
    • in tabular machine learning (scikit-learn, xgboost)
    • in reproducible scientific programming and data science
    • in FAIR data management
    • in use of HPC resources
    • with methods of explainability of computer vision models
  • A self-organized, creative approach to work, as well as a communicative, tolerant, and resilient personality with a strong sense of curiosity
  • Fluent English proficiency, German proficiency considered beneficial
