At the „Friedrich List“ Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, Institute of Transport and Economics, the Chair of Big Data Analytics in Transportation is seeking to employ an academic as Research Assistant (m/f/x) (9 hrs./week) starting November 1, 2026. Due to funding constraints, the vacancy is initially limited until March 31, 2027. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz – WissZeitVG) as well as the Higher Education Act in the Free State of Saxony (Sächsisches Hochschulgesetz – SächsHSG) in conjunction with the TdL guidelines (collective bargaining association for the German federal states) for Student Assistants and Research Assistants dated February 28, 2024.
The Chair of Big Data Analytics in Transportation at the “Friedrich List” Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences at TU Dresden focuses on statistical methods and machine learning techniques for processing, analyzing, and modeling complex, often multidimensional data from the fields of mobility, transportation, and economics.
As a tutor, you'll support us in English taught courses on data analytics and machine learning.
